Brief Description:  More AHRS work-Wiring of magnetometer etc

We continued to work on the mount for the AHRS today. We are trying to get it as possible to re-install after we rivet the forward deck and re-install the instrument panel. We still need to install nut plates that will be on the AHRS so that it can be screwed in from the underside. We are installing a "joggle" on the forward end of the mount so that we will only have to install 2 screws for re-installation. We read the directions for installing the AOA control box and much to our relief, it said that we could use Velcro for the installation. We will install the battery backup for the ADI in front of the AHRS on the same tray.
I installed the pins for the pins for the magnetometer and installed them in the D sub connector and mounted it on the AHRS. Now we get a heading on the EFIS! We will have to move out of the hangar to calibrate it later.
We had to modify the center section cover to allow it to fit over the manual trim and under the fuel line and also ran the throttle quadrant cables through this cover. It is a tight fit but all the wires seem to run in the tunnel OK. We might have to tweak it a little more so that we can re-install it after the inspection.
