Brief Description:  Installed Rt. strobe-Made mount for GRT AHRS

Claude installed the other strobe light on the right tip and I cut the Plexiglas lens in half using a cutting wheel on the Dremel tool. It was rather cold today, so we went in the office and turned on the gas heat and put a hair dryer under the lens prior to cutting it and all went well. I added an alternator field wire to our main bundle. We had to wait for the shielded wire to come from Spruce so were delayed in this until today.
We then turned to installing the AHRS shelf. The directions say to mount it level in both planes and parallel to center line. The first step was to level the fuse. This is the first time we have done this since the wheels went on. Surprisingly, all leveled without blocking anything up. We cut two 1 inch angles to fit between the firewall and the subpanel just to the right of the center rib. We then riveted an angle to the subpanel for the aft end of the rails on. We then leveled everything up and riveted (See the level in Image #2). Right on, isn't it? Tomorrow we will install nut plates on the AHRS so we can remove the screws from underneath. Paul Dye suggested that that would be better than the way he did it. Thanks, Paul and VAF!
We then started looking for a place to mount the control box for the AOA but couldn't settle on a place. We were both tired by then so now we have something to look forward to tomorrow.
