Brief Description: Flap control box wired- Routed strobe wires
Today, we labeled & connected all the wires to the flap control box using a ratcheted crimping tool & it seemed to work well. I guess we won't know for sure until we hook it up to the flap control switch on the panel. Jason at Aerotronics said they would be shipping the completed panel tomorrow and it should be here on Friday so maybe it won't be too long until we can tell.... We used some stick-on cable tie holders to anchor the conduit running down the center tunnel but we took the 2 sided tape off and held them in place with S-S #8 screws and also bonded them in place with epoxy glue.....We then decided that we would pass the strobe wire from the left wing through the grommets just behind the spar box and down the right side below the arm rest. We found that we needed about 12 inches more length than we had for this route so we had to loosen an Adel clamp and steel some from the wing tip....We now have the wires run except for the 2 com antenna wires that need to run through the tunnel. I will have to call Van's and find out if I can drill another hole through the tunnel. I have used only the 4 drilled holes but they are FULL now.
