Brief Description: More nut plates-Stick boot rings fabricated
I installed more nut plates on the inspection panels and wing root today. I am SICK of nut plates. While I did this, Claude finished fabricating the stick boot rings. He had begun these 6 weeks ago but whenever he tried to finish them, I would always call him to help me do something else. Today I finally let him concentrate on this task and in Image #2 you can see the result. The corners need radiusing but they should be ready to install when Abby finishes the interior and we install the push rods etc...... We have tried to map out the next step we should take if we ever finish the nut plates and have decided we should tackle the wing tips. I think they will probably be easier to fit with the wings on the bench rather than on the plane. This will be the first time we have done any fiberglass work.
