We started installing the nut plates on the RIGHT wing root today and again found that we had minumal edge distance on some of the holes so we inserted a doubler of thin aluminum behind the shin and then installed the nut plates in the usual fashion. It worked well. (See Image #1) I also drilled out some of the nut plates on the inspection ports so the dimpled nut plates could be substituted. We also re-routed the wiring conduit in the wing so that it would exit in the largest rib lightening hole so that it would be easier to get the wiring into the fuse.
