Brief Description:  Both wings put on for 1st. time!!!!!

Well! Finally, our little RV has wings....temporarily! We had half the airport helping us get them in place. Keith Thompson, the local A&P, supervised. I had a fear that we would drop them and tear a big old hole in the bottom of at least one wing, but all went well. The spar fit tightly but the drift pins that we agonized over went in with just a "gentle" tap as can be seen in Image #2. While we put the left wing on, we propped up the right wing on pillows from the couch in the FBO. No where else would FBO's sacrifice there new pillows like that! Image #3 shows me standing by my baby. Don't I look like a proud father? Tomorrow, we will begin the process of lining the sweep and angle of incidence and if all goes well, drilling the rear spar. Before we could put on the wings, we had to finish putting the gear weldment back on and torqueing all those bolts. I HOPE that that is the last time for the weldment.
