Brief Description:  Closed Rt. wing/Unloaded O-320/Leveled fuse

We had finished installing the Angle of Attack ports last week but had not checked them to see if they were air tight bucause we couldn't figure how to applyand pressure. Over the week end, I thought about an ear bulb syringe. When we applied pressure to the upper wing skin port everything was air tight but we had a leak in the bottom skin port. We prized it off and added more sealant. When we checked it again we were OK. We riveted the remainder of the bottom outboard skin onto the right wing. All rivets looked good. We then read about mounting the wings for we should be able to do that TOMORROW!!!! We then unloaded the new Lycoming O-320 engine that had been on a trailer, putting it right up in a corner so it would not be in the way for the wings to go on. The fuselage was moved into the center of the hangar and leveled. Some holes were marked in the iniboard bottom skin so that we can drill the overhanging bottom fuse skin blindly. I went by Eldridge Hardware and got some hardware bolts to make drift pins out of and some lubricant again for mounting the wings .... Claude brought a gas heater and bomb today and I got some copper tubing so that we can have heat tomorrow for it will be in the 30's tomorrow for the first time this year! We are now at 497 hours total time on the kit so we should have the wings on by 500 hours!!!!!
