Brief Description: Riveted 1/3 right bottom skin-Access panels fixed
We riveted approximately 1/3 of the outboard bottom wing skin today without difficulty. I remembered that we needed to not only dimple the rivet sites for the access panels but also the screw holes to accomadate the recessed screws in the nut plates. I did that on the right wing but had riveted the nut plates on the left wing without doing that. So I riveted the nut plates on the access panels on the right as seen in Image #2 and then drilled out all the rivets around the access panel on the left so that the screw holes could be dimpled. I then riveted half of them back but will do the other half on Monday....It has been a productive week but both Claude and I are tired and ready for a break! Making airplanes is hard work!
