Brief Description: Nut plates on seat back brace, repainted some part
Claude is still sick so I am working by myself and it gets lonesome. I had some difficulty lining up the side plates on the flap actuator channel and the seat back brace so that I could drill it for nut plates. I finally got it right and drilled, riveted and installed the brace......... I decided that I didn't like the hammered silver finish that I had applied to most of the fuselage interior. So I began the task of sanding it off and repriming so I could apply a glossy grey enamel. I think that I will like that better! It is difficult getting the hammered finish off though......... I then began work on installing the TruTrak roll servo in the right wing. In Image #2 you can see where it goes. I had to take apart a portion of the aileron bell crank that we worked so hard on getting just right. However I don't think that it will disturb the alignment rigging. Like the pitch servo there are no directions just 3 drawings. I still have quite a few more pieces to install before Image #3 will be complete. On the left you see the original bell crank and on the right is the motor to power the servo. The push rod and a few other things are yet to be installed.
