Brief Description:  Assembling components of 705 Bulkhead

The long piece of blue flat aluminium seen in image 1 had to be cut to length for 2 pieces and then we had to use a "leaf break" that Claude borrowed from his brother, Sonny, to put a 4 degree bend in each piece. Then the little shim had to be cut to size. Both had to be back drilled using the holes in the bulkhead as a guide. That is what I am doing sitting in the fuelage hunched over trying to see the holes from underneath using a mirrow and then using the air drill while Claude checked to see that I was lined up. We got all the parts bent, drilled undersized, reamed to proper size, dimpled or countersunk, deburred, and primed. Tomorrow, we will rivet all the pieces together. I will probably be sore tomorrow because the position I had to take in the fuselage was uncomfortable to say the least. You can see the "sweat rag" over my shoulder for it was hot inside where the fan couldn't reach.
