Brief Description:  Permanently installed control column mount/Began a

Today we struggled to get the control column mount down in the ribs and mounted. I also rechecked all the torque on the bolts in the center section since this carries most of the stress of the wings, etc. They were difficult to get to since they were, as seen in the 1st. picture, down between the 2 anodized main spars. All the torque values were correct. I had read that sometimes they are not. We then began the search for the parts needed to be formed from stock aluminium to finish the 705 bulkhead. We couldn't find one piece of angle aluminium that we need. I called Van's and they said that it was 12 feet long and their records show that we recieved it. They said to look in the corner of the hangar somewhere and they bet we would find it. I will look tomorrow, but I went ahead and asked them to ship me some more. We got the pitot tube holder today as well as the wing tip VOR antenna. We will run some wires out in the wings and install the holder for the pitot tube soon. The heated pitot tube itself was backordered from SteinAir. They should be shipping it soon.
