Brief Description: Finished Firewall Recess/Assembled Control Sticks
Today we finished dimpling firewall recess and installed it with clecos. We then began on the control assembly. The drawings were difficult to interprete and orient but when we finally did and started assembly, we found that the bushings were again not drilled to correct size. After a struggle lining up the drill press, we finally drilled them out & much to our relief, the holes were down the middle. Of course they were too long to fit, so they had to be filed down to fit and all holes had to be deburred. Trying to fit the control assembly into the fuselage, is again a Chinese puzzle! I think that we have this solved and in the last picture of the day, I am kneeling in the fuselage where a seat will be eventually, moving the left stick enthusiatically and making engine noises!
