Brief Description: Main Gear Leg Wheel Pant Brackets
|

• Disassembled the left and right gear leg wheel assemblies, to work on the inner wheel pant brackets.
• Measured, located and marked the holes, 2 forward, and 2 rear, on the left inner bracket per spec.
• Clamped bracked on to drill press using cleco clamps, drilled pilot hole, and final drilled with #19 for AN8R8 screws.
• Used nut plate jig tool to drill the #40 holes for the two AN426 rivets required for each nut plate (4 nut plates per bracked).
• Deburred all holes,,, Countersunk the AN426 rivet holes on the inner side of the bracket for the nut plates.
• Clamped the right bracket to the left bracket, for the leading edge, matching edges using cleco clamps, inserted clmaped brackets into vise.
• Drilled the #19 holes for the AN8R8 screws, using the left bracket holes as the template for the right bracket.
• Drilled the #40 holes for the AN426 rivets, using the left bracket holes as the template for the right bracket.
• Removed cleco clamps, re-clecloed a the trailing edge, and repeated the same operation for the #19 and #40 holes.
• Removed cleco clamps, separated, deburred all holes,
• Countersunk the #40 holes in the right bracket for the AN426 rivets.
