Continued building the rudder... • Secured rudder to work table • Using duct tape, taped a 1” steel pipe to the edge of the forward skin on the inside. • Using vise grips on the steel pipe rolled the forward skin toward the inside of the rudder. Not sure exactly how much to bend the skin, I did not want to over bend or over stress the skin and screw up the rudder. Thought to take this is stages. This turns out I think to not be the best method… • After rolling one side of the rudder forward skin, un-taped the pipe and tape to the opposite side, and rolled. I had to be careful of interference of the rolled skin on the first side at the top of the rudder while rolling the second side. • While this method produced a nice looking rolled skin, I think it’s going to be difficult to get the pre-punched holes to meet for clecoe…
