Brief Description:  Rudder - Continue Build

Continued building the rudder...
• Was not really possible to clecoe the forward edge of the rudder skin, so decided to re-roll to create less stress on the skin when attempting to align the pre-lunch holes.
• Secured rudder to work table
• Using duct tape, taped a 1” steel pipe to the edge of the forward skin on the inside.
• Using vise grips on the steel pipe rolled the forward skin toward the inside of the rudder, pretty much rolling the skin as much as I dared without really torqueing it over.
• After re-rolling one side of the rudder forward skin, un-taped the pipe and tape to the opposite side, and rolled. I had to be extra careful of interference of the rolled skin on the first side at the top of the rudder while rolling the second side.
• After the second rolling of the forward skin edge, I am able to get the pre-punched holes to align with quite a bit of effort to complete clecoe of the skin.
