Brief Description:  Avionics - EIS Bracket Assembly

I am happy with how the ADAHRS mounting brackets worked out, giving much needed structure and support for mounting to the aft side of the baggage skin (forward side of the avionics bay skin), So I decided to do the same for the Garmin GEU 24 EIS system. This box takes the input from the various engine sensors and feeds the Garmin GDU 460 display (the big TV screen in the middle of the Instrument Panel).

• Keeping in mind that this needs to be accessible after the top skin is in place, decided the best location was to the right of the GSU 25 ADAHR (looking forward) with the DB connections facing down.
• Measured and cut more of the 3/4" L-Angle for four pieces.
• Assembled two straight S-style brackets as before for the ADAHRS brackets, #40 pilot holes, #30 final hole, cleaned an d deburred, re-assembled and riveted with AN470 4-5.
• Located the holes for mounting the GEA 24 EIS unit, drilled #40 pilot holes, and final drilled with #19 for AN3 bolts.

Garmin says to use 10R screws, but I don't see why I want to use screws when an AN3 bolt works so much better over time (removal, re-installation, etc.)
