Brief Description:  Avionics - ADAHRS Bracket Assembly

Time to locate where the Garmin ADAHRS GSU 25 is going to be residing...

Garmin says this needs to be mounted to structure, that it can be sensitive to vibration (don't mount it near a speaker is one constraint).

Decided the best place to mount the unit is on the aft side of the baggage compartment skin, which is also the forward side of the avionics bay. Not exactly structure, so I decided to make a bracket out of four prices of the 3/4" L-Angle.

• Measured and cut four equal prices of the 3/4" L-Angle.
• Assembled two pieces into a single square S-style bracket
• Match drilling #40 pilot holes, then final drilling #30 holes.
• Cleaned, deburred, and then riveted the L-Angle brackets.
• Located and drilled #40 pilot holes to mount the GSU 25 ADAHRS.
• Final drilled #19 holes for AN3-10 bolts which will be used to hold the ADAHRS to the bracket.

Located the position on the aft baggage compartment wall for the GSU 25 ADAHRS, keeping in mind the only access to this unit after the top skin is in place will be from underneath.
