As I was working on the doubler for the extra access panel today I notice an error. Over a year ago when I installed the K1100-08 nutplates to two of the other access panels on this wing, I forgot to dimple the skin for a #8 screw. My attempt today to work around this issue proved to be frivolous; so I moved forward removing eight nutplates, dimpling for a #8 screw & will then reinstall the nutplates tomorrow. And.., this has to be accomplished on four different panels. Hey.., everyday is a learning day..!
I did however accomplish something positive today. I completed the double for the optional access panel & will rivet that in place tomorrow. :-)
