Attached together the two VA-195D access cover plates with a single VA-195C doubler, inserted it within the access panel cutout & used that assembly as a template to determine the rivet hole locations on the skin panels. Just a bit of additional trimming to the access holes was required that then allowed the cover plates to sit in each housing. Once there, I aligned them squarely & marked their rivet hole locations on the skin panel.
** It will be a few weeks before I return to the project as Jameson, our Irish Setter, is undergoing a total left hip replacement 10/2/23. The surgery will take place at the Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center. He will require 100% of my care, post-op, for at least two weeks, if not more.
