Continuing the latch mechanism install, I located and drilled holes in latch pocket that are where the racks move fore and aft into and out of the door interior as the door handle is rotated which in turn moves the door pins to the open or closed position.
I also cut the rods to length and beveled the ends that extend from the door into the fuse when the door is closed. In order to locate where the holes need to be drilled in the fuse for these pins, you tap the rod ends for a bolt that you cut down and sharpen into a pointer. By screwing this pointer into the pins, you can shut the doors, extend the pins and mark where they hit the door sills and drill accordingly.
