While I had good access to the forward tunnel, I decided to go ahead and locate where the boost pump was going to go and to fab a mount for it. First, I made the decision to relocate the "redcube" fuel flow transducer out of the tunnel and FWF. After that I decided on the pump and filter locations. I then used some scrap .063 angle to make a mount for the pump and some scrap for the filter mount. The next thing was to make a short fuel line to connect the pump ands filter together. After a number of tries, I finally made a line that was usable, but that created a geometry problem with my chosen layout. The easiest solution, and the one I ulitmately chose, was to toss my original filter mount and fab a new one using the Facet fuel pump mount that 's included in the kit but not used when installing a fuel injected engine.
