Brief Description: Creating scarf joint and dimpling
Began the evening by peeling back a 2-inch strip of plastic on the upper surface of the in-board skin and the under surfaqce of the outboard skin. The reason for this is that's the area the two skins overlap witht eh outboard on top. The idea behind the scarf joint is to remove some of the exposed surface area on both skins so when the overlap is less noticable--it's purely for comestic reasons and not doing it would have no affect on the strength of the wing or it's flying qualities. So I got after it with sand paper and a file and after lots of elbow grease I had little to show for it other than a roughed up strip on the skins.
Somewhat dejectedly, I took a break from that and moved on to dimpling the stiffeners.
