Brief Description: Starboard wing bottom repair, and prep sanding
Did the steel ruler thing on the starboard wing bottom with no problems, but did find a serious bit of hangar rash! I found a deep scratch through the first ply, and a tap test discovered crushed foam underneath. Quite mysterious.
Prep sanded the rest of the wing 40g, and sanded down to the foam along the scratch, tapering 1 ply per inch and extra sanding 4 inches around. Dug out the crushed foam and replaced with dry micro. Layed up 2 x UND overlapping, following the skin thread directions, 1 x BID overall and peel plied.
