Brief Description:  Profile sanding, FILL and epoxy WIPEs

Over the last few days did some sanding whenever the enthusiasm for this engaging task permits.

Invented a thingie for sanding the NACA sides. It is just a sanding block with a curved face with some 40g stapled to it screwed onto a stick. Startlingly effective.

Mixed up a small pot of FILL and patched some dings and low spots, and was about to put some excess on the winglet when I found a strange plastic donut in the mix. Whilst puzzling over this I finally noticed the pot was exotherming! 3 pumps of West makes a full mixing container of dry micro, but in future I might just use the Kenwood. It can do 6 pumps worth of micro at a go and perhaps because the bowl is large enough that there is only a thin layer of micro in it exotherm is not usually an issue. Bit of a bugger to clean though...

Being generally happy with the profile now, started on epoxy wiping! Layed plastic sheet under the landing brake and applied raw epoxy to the landing brake the bottom of the main landing gear struts, the nose gear strut and doors. I painted the epoxy on, squeegeed off as much as I could and wiped up any remaining excess with paper towell. Quickly discovered that a rag works better. The summary of such activities will be from henceforth known as a WIPE.

Experiencing difficulties with the dear of Canon EOS 100d that has been with me since the start of the build. Some of the buttons are stuck in with resin/micro/etc. and one of the batteries is shot. I may have to replace the dear old thing.
