Brief Description:  Nose door fettling, nose weight pondering

Trimmy, trimmy. Fitted main nose door and applied FILL across affected bit.

Reviewed Marc Zeitlein's w&b spreadsheet and calculate I need 2 more spots to store 440ml beer cans filled with lead, (which trim out at 5.7kg). Decide that a tube mounted behind F-0 either side of NG-33 would be nice. [TIMEWARP: this doesn't work due insufficient headroom, and interference with the nose gear pivot bolt. I later I figger out a tube through F-0 would allow secure stowage and still allow the visual inspection of all fitted nose weights through the weigh compartment door window.]

Look around the shed and find a can of acrylic primer that would make a nice form. [TIMEWARP: Sucker!] I wrap it in tape for a release, and few layers of black plastic to pump out the diameter. Over this I layup 6 x UND with the fibres crossing the tube at 45 degrees left and right. I have discovered that UND goes better over tubes than BID.
