Brief Description:  Landing brake actuator

The word from the wise on Cozy Builders was 65 degrees travel, achieved best by a 4" travel actuator if the plans springy thingy is not used. This is based on drawing M-28 which shows the landing brake at full travel, and measured with a protractor.

I operate my Linak L121000-11301220 and discover it has 5" of travel, hence the over-extension of the landing brake. Their website say the travel is not adjustable, so as it will otherwise need to be replaced anyhow I pulled it apart to see. I see the microswitch that controls the full extension end stop, and there are plenty of other places it can go.

Marked where the switch has to sit, desoldered the switch and replaced it in the marked spot. Put on a couple of bow-ties for cable securing, then reassemble and reinstall and achieve bang on 65 degrees.
