Brief Description:  Port wing radiant heat shield

Using the same template as for the starboard make a port radiant heat shield from 0.020" 6061 and install. Have not bothered with control cutouts yet. With it in place mount the cowlings and am astounded to discover to nutplates not yet installed. In the process note an unacceptable mismatch between the lower surface of the wing and the strake. It will need fairing in behind the strake at the wing root, and outboard from the strake tip. mark up the required amendments, but the thickness is less than 0.2", so I'm not panicked.

I do note the guys in the EZ-Hanger in Covington TN in September had a Longez inverted with the wings on to do this fill. Their plan is better, but I can't get my head around how they managed it.

Also note with some alarm that the trailing edges of the cowl and the wing are misaligned, and ponder how to fix it.
