Brief Description:  ELT fixed antenna. Revised rear seatbacks

Prep sanded inside the fuselage next to the back right seat and applied copper tape from the top of the spar cap down to the fuselage bottom on the landing gear bulkheads, and up onto the inside of the turtleback, creating a dipole with 21.2" legs. Soldered on some coax, potted some ferrite Baluns on the cable and ran it along the spa. 1 x BID tape & peel ply over the tape. Bit difficult to photograph in there, so didn't.

Had recalled recently a comment from somebody about the rear seatbacks I was quite proud about when showing my project in the Cozy Boozey Zoomy sessions. They said the plans versions did not conform to the shape of a human. Trying them out I had to agree, so decided to revise them. Plan is to make a sort of shoulder support wedge out of foam, glass it to the current seatback, the put a new seatback from it to the current, then cut away the redundant bit and tape over the wounds.

Have also noted that my rear seatbacks currently cover the holes in the front of the spar with no gaps, so there would be no airflow for my fancy new cabin vent exhausts to exhaust. Hmmmmmm. The new arrangement will let me put vents in the hole covers, under the seatback.

Micro'd on the foam and covered with 2 x BID. Peel plied edges, but should have peel plied the joining surface too. OK, the whole layup would have been smart.

Cut out new seatbacks from 3/8" H45 and layed up 2 x BID over rear surface and peel plied..
