So I can guage the affect of installing the wing root heat shields on the cowling/wing transition decide it is time to make one!
Make a corflute template of the wing root, and transfer it to the waiting 0.020" 6061 sheet. I add flanges where required, and transfer the location of the cowling fastners.
Cut it out, and bend the flanges and try it on for size. Adjust the fastner locations, and cut the slots for the rudder cable and aileron tubes.
