Brief Description:  FILL canopy/upper cowling/strake/wing

Most of a month off. What have I been up to? I attended the last air races at Reno. A marvellous event, my eyes shine at the howl of 8 V-12s howling over the start line, and some amazing aeronautical displays. Caught up with the highly esteemed Bruce Sinclair, who was generous with the low-down. Lurved the racing, was just so unhappy at the awful events of the last day. Genuinely lurved every conversation I had on the field and at every bus queue. The town of Reno is a complete dump however.

Then on to Memphis and did some touristy stuff, including Graceland.

Then on to Rough River. Over 60 canards, lovely people. Just awesome. Went for a fly with Russ Meyericks in his awesome Cozy.

Then down to Covington, and did some flying with Richard Zadow and RAFE in the Speed Canard. I feel confident that I could do the first flight with the Cozy if it were ready, but it isn't. Thanks Richard. I did some donkey-work with the EZ-Hangar guys, a cool bunch, with some insights on what you have to do speed-wise to work in composites when somebody else is paying the bills. Used stippling brushes in the bin, and no multi-tool use the bandsaw! And the frikken Jet Guys. Just awesome.

Shouting with 100,000-odd other NASCAR fans at Talladega, then it is back to trimmy, trimmy all OK, and prep sanding for the next bit of FILL, including that dodgy bit above the starboard front pax window
