Brief Description:  Nose gear door finagling

As I had elected to put doors over the nosewheel it was now time to make them work. The hinges were bunged up with some resin from the FILL/WIPE process, so I removed the doors and cleaned up the hinges. I also cleaned up some deformities around the hinge sites on the fuselage bottom.

Then I spent a lot of time just looking at it, wondering whether to retain the doors, or just fair over the current square hole to make a neater plans-version one. Nup. Keeping the doors.

Next problem is I have noticed that the wheel will center into the hole if it brushes the edges, but the threads protruding through the axle nut can hit the fuselage bottom and do damage. I experiment with bits of stainless steel firewall offcuts hot glued onto the doors, and they nicely guide both sides of the axle into the hole. Hmmmmm. Make some nice looking hard points, and rivet/flox them to the doors.
