Brief Description: Finish sanding, and trial fit the cowling
Finished the 240g grind over the last couple of days, and am astounded when I do all parts with 320g, (again dry then wet) in a couple of hours. Everything now looks and feels gloriously sexy. I am quite excited!
I declare this bit done. then bolt on the bottom cowling to see how it is all coming together. I am not best pleased. A couple of fuselage areas need building up. even after grinding down the thick edge of the cowling a bit. I note after a while that some areas, (like the NACA bottom), have a little kick-up before the flange, and a lot of material beneath. I remove it, and mark up where build up is required and prep sand everything.
Applied FILL as required, including the aft cowl mods and filling the cowling to a 1mm gap with the fuselage using plastic spacers.
