Brief Description:  Canopy latches - connecting up!

Drilled 1/4" pilot holes for the pushrods through the seatback, as close as I could get to the longerons. with the air drill, and opened up to 3/4" with a hole drill. This was a mistake, as they are still too low. Opened up with the dremel I should have used from the start, or been braver and cut the holes when I made the seatback... A repair will be needed to make it all less unsightly. Convince myself this will be easier with the fuselage inverted.

Fitted the C4 in all locations, cut the C6 a little overlength and tap the ends, trimming until they are correctly orientated. Had to relieve the bottom of the longeron in a couple of places to make it all fit.

Trial instal C8 with hot glue and check the alignment. Port side is good, but starboard is NQR. Make a new taller C8 for that side, and everything checks out. It is not noticably different to the other. Check the safety catch one more time.

Drill a 5/32" pilot hole up through the tapped C8 and canopy frame, hitting the hard points with all. Noice. Pop off the C8, then use my forstner bit to drill down from above for a flat bottom. Drilled out the pilot holes to 3/16" and fitted C8 with flox and AN525-R12
