Brief Description:  Canopy latches

Over the last few days fiddled with the safety catch until it works reliably, and is reasonably easy to access from outside.

Made a C2-L for the forward pax side, a mockup C1-R with a bend in it to interact better with the safety catch. Made a modified C2-L with a square hole to match the latch hardware and another modified C2-L from 1/8" 4130 to mount to a 5/8" steel tube to engage with the torque tube.

Made a trial C1, and was not happy with the result I could achieve with hand tools. Made a set of 4 X C4A to fit in all positions. Much happier with that result, for a miniscule weight gain.

Experiment with the results and am stunned to discover they don't work as snail cams, the actual position of the latch is the only thing that maintains the closure, and that is only maintained by the safety catch. Hmmmmmm.

Can only reach the position to drill the latch hole with a 3/8" chuck air drill, so do so, and ooger it out with 1/4" dremel drum.
