Brief Description: Gas strut longeron mounting plates
Made the plates for the forward longeron mount of the gas struts. Just got a quote from Bansbach, the bastards want almost AUD700 for EACH!
Rather than just drilling a hole for the strut mount, I drilled and tapped M8. OK, viewed result #1 and started again to achieve this. Prepped and primed.
Dug out the forstner bit again, and fitted my safety catch, an ECOSTAR/Yale stainless window latch. It is reasonably easy to operate, and more compact and aeroplaney-looking than the plans version.
