Have had an Aircraft Spruce FAB 3-0-2 manifold for a while now and spend some time figuring out the best placement to accomodate the length and placement of my vent lines.
I grit my teeth and place pairs of MS21919 D64 Adel clamps at the midpoint of the vent runs, (which a reference I cannot now find said was the appropriate spacing), with an extra clamps/holes for the return line alongside the pair, and through the 'aesthetic piece'. Drilled a hole through the cowling flange and routed vent through it.
Terminated the vents at the manifold with 1/8" NPT whatchamacallits, AN816-4D nipples and AN819-4D sleeves. Double flared the tubing ends and bolted it all up. I am missing two matching bungs to blank off the holes not required.
Secured the manifold and firewall Adel clamps through the firewall with AN-3 bolts of various sizes. Urethane bonded a nutplate fitted to a fibreglass scrap to the forward face of the 'aesthetic piece' and secured the remaing Adel clamp with an AN3-4A.
[Timewarp one week. ONE F&$KING WEEK: Marc Zeitlen announces on my email list that such manifords are not recomended by him as the fitting should have more volume. Hmmmmm. It is staying on as is]
