Connect fuel pump wire to 18 AWG wiring using knife splice. This was done to facilitate pump replacement if necessary. Splice was secured to rib using a tie wrap adhesive mount.
Wire was routed from pump through the spar via a grommeted tooling hole. for additional protection, wire was sheathed using nylon expandable braid from the fuel pump splice to the wing conduit.
Additional tie wrap adhesive mounts were installed on tip rib to secure wiring conduit beneath ER tank, running forward to location of wing lights.
Procedure was determined for removal of ER tank when necessary.
1. Drain tank. 2. Remove access panel. 3. Remove wing tip. 4. Remove fuel line from pump inlet. 5. Remove five ER tank mount bolts and Breeze clamp. 6. Remove ER tank vent line fitting. 7. Slide ER tank out of wing NO MORE THAN 3", to allow access to remaining fuel line fitting. 8. Remove fuel line from ER tank. 9. Remove ER tank from wing.
This procedure will allow wing to be painted before final installation of ER tank vent.
