Fabricate fuel door from 063 x 5052 aluminum sheet. Compound curves were formed using English Wheel. Forming continued until sheet laid flat on wingtip. Once curves were formed, final door size was cut from sheet, deburred and smoothed using vixen file and s/b wheel.
Fabricate two spacers for door hinge from 063 x 5052 sheet. Spacers, when installed, will make the door hinge flush with wintip surface.
Layout and drill door hinge.
Match drill hinge and spacers.
Match drill hinge and wingtip, cleco as drilled.
Using tape, installed door in wingtip, match drill door and hinge, cleco as drilled.
