Quite a bit of time spent this afternoon putting the cockpit interior back together, including final "torquing" of all the fuel and brake line fittings.
Laying down in the floor of the cockpit (very uncomfortable for a big guy) I attended to all the fuel and brake line fittings by applying Permatek sealant and tightening up to what felt like a pretty good tension .... I have no idea how anyone would get a torque wrench on any of these fittings.
With all the fluid fittings done I then fitted the cover piece that fits down the centre section, hiding all the fluid lines and wiring. I cut a piece of stiff drawer liner felt to go under and atop the fuel/brake lines, just to prevent any rattling or abrasion.
Phew, I'm glad this is now outta the way. It sure is uncomfrotable laying in the fuselage.
