Amongst other jobs today I also started on a mounting bracket for the red cube fuel flow sensor. I used a scrap piece of heavy duty aluminium angle as I want a solid base for this sensor.
The red cube has mounting holes that are sized large enough to accept AN4 bolts, however this seems overkill to me, and I'm going to mount with AN3's. What I do not want, however, is slop in the sensor mount, so I got myself some static line tubing and pressed over the shank of each bolt. This then resulted in a nice firm fit inside the red cube mounting holes.
I'll finish the bracket off tomorrow. Not sure if I'll mount it on the firewall just yet. It needs to be down low, and I do not want to risk having it interfere with the engine mount frame.
