Brief Description:  Throttle & Choke Cables

Today I connected the choke & throttle cables. To ensure the choke levers cannot be actuated by engine movement, I temporarily placed a 2mm spacer between the actuating knob and the cable ferule on the instrument panel before securing the cables in their keepers thereby building in a little slack in the cables when the knob is released and the choke levers are held "off" by their springs. Both choke levers hit the stops when the choke knob is pulled. The throttle cables are both now installed. With the position of the left cable dictated by the position sensor on the left carburettor (as determined using the B.U.D.S. software) being at 100% when the throttle lever is against the maximum continuous power stop, 115% at full throttle and 0-3% at idle, I believe any adjustments during carburettor balancing will need to be via the right cable only so after satisfying that criteria, I lockwired the cable adjusting nuts on the left side. I need to adjust the position of the full throttle stop (too much travel now) & increase the friction of the throttle lever as the springs on the carburettors are easily dragging the throttle open. I think I'll also make a very minor adjustment of the idle stop to allow just a little more travel in that direction.
