Brief Description: Drill & cleco nose ribs1-4 to spar angles
1. Clamp a nose rib to the nose rib angle and to the top and bottom 0.025 strips.
2. I would place the Vise-grip C-clamp close to the hole being drilled to keep the rib and angle in close contact while drilling. See Fig. 1.
3. The cleco clamps worked best on the top strip. I used a toggle clamp on the bottom strip. See Fig. 2.
4. After re-reading the PAM pages, I realized that the bottom strip should not have extended beyond the spar, and
5. There should be a third .025 strip at the top that just extends to the front of the spar.
6. I'll have to redrill ribs 1-4 tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the 3/32" holes will be close enough so that the #20's will fit just fine and still give me round holes.
