Brief Description:  tech counsellor visit, wingtip disassembly, fuel s

this was kind of a random day. Started off with a visit from EAA tech counsellor, talked about several things including fuel tank support, fuel system design, motor mount welding critique, FAA designations of required/optional lighting, etc. disassembled wing tips to facilitate running wiring for wingtip lights and noted remaining tasks on wingtips, including drilling out some some rivet holes from #40 to #30, deburring all rivet holes, torquing and safetying bolts hold spar extensions, final rivetting and final decision on whether to rivet or screw the fiberglass wingtip tips. After getting the fuel tank close to its final position's, I decided to sit in the pilot seat and make sure my feet will fit under the tank. they are fine. Also noted that the tank outlets are inches below the instrument panel, so my preliminary thoughts about putting fuel shutoff valve on the panel will not work. I will have to re-think where to put and how to support fuel shutoff valve.
