Brief Description:  removing cowl from mold

the removal from the mold was somewhat difficult. I should have taken more care during the lay-up to trim the fiberglass cloth off even with the edge of the mold. Since I failed to do that, it kind of flopped over and adhered to the outside of the mold, which did not have any mold-release wax or PVA on it, so that was a problem. Minor problem, easily trimmed off with oscillatting tool saw blade. Another problem was that the peel ply was not properly adhered all over the cowl, so in areas where it was adhered, I had an opaque matte finish, but in areas where is was not, the resin was clear and the weave of the cloth is visible. Again, not a major problem. The worst thing I saw so far is that there is an area where the first ply we put into the mold, which is now the outside, most visible layer, somehow slipped down and buckled over as we laid up the second ply, so it is now kind of a bubble near the left front corner of the cowl. Even this is not a huge problem, I just need to decide how to fix it and execute the fix. I am amazed at how thin this thing is. The three plies just squished down to almost nothing.
