Brief Description:  evaluate microballoon application from yesterday

I was reasonably happy with the results of yesterday's application of microballoon filler to defects in the mold. There were several places where the divots being filled were so large that the filler had subsided and the divots were still visible. So in these cases I will need to do multiple repetitions of filling, sanding, filling, sanding, etc. I went to consult with my EAA technical counselor, and among other things he told me to allow 2 or 3 days of curing before I try to sand the microballoons. This was kind of a last minute save, because I had been planning to sand today. So I spent the rest of today roughing out a cradle to hold the cowl top mold while I do the actual layup. I reassermbled the two cowl halves over the engine and rechecked all the internal clearances. Still concerned about the clearance between the interior surface of the cowl and the rocker arm covers, trying to measure as precisely as possible how much more clearance I need.
