Today I started tacking together the bold-holding tubes that will connect the motor mount to the firewall and to the engine itself. Yesterday when I was putting together the welding fixture for holding these pieces in their proper places in space, I failed to notice that I had re-used this fixture to make a mount to put this Revmaster engine on my Baby Ace. I never followed through with that idea, but it left my welding fixture with way too many holes, so I am going to have to be very careful to use the correct nine holes. four for the engine, five for the firewall. My plan is to put the whole thing together with a minimum number of small tacks, just enough to hold them together, and then take it out to the airport and make sure it fits before I do any finish welding.
