Brief Description:  brake caliper fitting to mounting brackets

Took awhile to get the brake calipers fitted to their mount brackets, but I am pretty happy with the final results. Image 1 below shows the initial fit, with the piston side of the caliper stuck about half an inch short of its proper position. Image 2 shows the caliper closer to its proper position, but still too far inside the bracket. in this view the non-piston side of the caliper is removed for better visibility to the position of the piston. Image 3 shows both calipers aligned as they should be. Both calipers are mounted on one gear leg only because my shop setup has the other gear leg too close to the wall for comfortable working on it. The sticker on the gear leg was originally on the caliper itself, but had to be removed for this clearancing work. the work consisted of grinding outward on the inside surfaces of the mounts, and grinding inward on the outside surfaces of the calipers. the blue Sharpie ink visible on the calipers was used to identify the high spots that needed to be ground down. This job was a good example of learning new skills in the educational aspect of experimental aviation.
