Brief Description:  ADS-B install, programing, and wing wiring.

I installed the ADS-B 472 module and mounted it on the vertical aft seat support. The wiring was already completed by Olaf and made this a quick endeavor. I soldered and installed the aux. music input. After pushing the plane out, I powered it on and made sure I had GPS reception. The music input tested and worked great. I programed the ADS-B and found that I could not get a signal, but did see some traffic overlaid. Perhaps this is my location between hangars. Unfortunately, the Garmin GPS is giving me fits. It powers on and allows you to verify the database. But then it just shows no messages and no buttons will allow it to do anything besides verify the database. I did get it to the setup menu and programed it to the ARINC. It is not a straight forward setup. I bounced between the ARINC setup on the EFIS and the GPS. At one point I saw a course from the GPS on the HSI. The GPS shows the AIRINC channel to be open. After looking through the Dynon manual I found that the network cables have specific twisted pairs for data transmission. I only twisted the power and ground paths. I decided to order a cable and see if I could fix it. I can only guess that the GPS lacking any function is a product of it not getting information from the ARINC module.
I decided to start on wiring the wings. They are closed up and wiring is already run for the NAV/anti-collision lights. I will be adding pitot heat and leading edge landing lights. I decided to run poly tubing through the lightening holes. It is light weight and durable. I will secure the ends to keep it in place. I ran 14 gauge wire down the length of the poly to where the landing lights will be. I managed to get my hangar neighbor to help me move the right wing off the cradle and get it upside down on padded sawhorses. This will allow me to get the pitot tube install started. I ran poly inside the right wing to the pitot tube bay with all the wiring installed. There are three 12 gauge wires and two 20 gauge for temperature monitoring. The 20 gauge wires do not have a
