I drilled out the lower panel to work with circuit breakers. I installed the nav lights and strobes on separate switches on the right side of the panel instead of the combined switch that Olaf had. I also had to run wiring for the nav lights with this change. I am planning on using the existing hole next to the strobe switch for the landing light. I will drill another spot for the pitot heat and the interior light rheostat. I started to run the wiring for the circuit breakers. I plan on installing the GPS unit above the COM radio. It looks like I will need to fit the ARINC module to make it work with the Dynon. I also ordered the backup battery to give me some redundancy. The GPS and tailwheel arrived today. The GPS looks to be in excellent condition and all the pins, connectors, tray and antenna were in the box, The Flyboy 6" light weight tailwheel and screaming eagle fork look very well made. The lock mechanism uses a machined channel and a spring loaded pin to only allow it to unlock at the end of the travel range.
