I wanted to do away with the Bing Carb and install an aero injector. It can be prone to carb ice and I like having a mixture control. I am not a fan of the compression fuel fittings either. However, I like having redundant fuel pumps and have heard horrors of low head pressures and difficulty jetting with the aero injector. I have decided to wait on this and see if I can live with the Bing. I will have to consider some form of carb heat if I decide to keep this setup after the initial test flights.
I trimmed and reattached the leaking fuel line at the fuel pump. No leaks noted. I replaced several Adel clamps due to dry rot on the cushions. I installed several more wire ties and Adel clamps to keep everything away from heat, protected from vibration, and heat.
